Why did you get a personal coach?

I wanted more out of my life and my job. I wanted to be more fulfilled in both roles, and a coach was the best way to attain a more fulfilling life with more “aliveness” in it.

What qualifies me to tell my client how to run their life?

That’s a very good question. I do not tell my clients how to run their life, they tell me. The coach has questions the client has the answers or they can find them. I have talked the talk and walked the walk by being a coaching client myself starting in 1999.

What life experiences do you bring to the coaching relationship?

I bring my coaching experience from being a coach since 2002, a coaching client since 1999, a certified professional co-active coach since 2004, and a professional certified coach. I also bring my life experience as a business leader, certified public accountant, entrepreneur, husband, father and life-long learner with me to each coaching session.

What is Coaching?

Here is a classic text book answer: “Coaching is a powerful alliance designed to forward and enhance the lifelong process of learning, effectiveness and fulfillment”.*

* Co-Active Coaching – Laura Whiteworth, Henry Kinsey-House, Phil Sandahl

What is your coaching experience (number of individuals coached, years of experience, types of coaching situations, etc.)?

I have coached over 1,000 hours since 2002, including over 75 business and individual clients and over 100 graduate students with life and career objectives.

What is your coach-specific training (enrolled in an ICF approved training program, other coach-specific training, etc.)?

I earned the Professional Certified Coach (PCC) designation through the International Coach Federation. My basic coach training was through the Co-Active Training Institute (CTI). Two of the founders of CTI founded the International Coach Federation. CTI is accredited by the ICF.

What is your coaching specialty or areas in which you most often work?

Financial services, entrepreneurs, business owners, C level and aspiring C level executives, and highly motivated individuals.

What is your philosophy about coaching?

The client has most of the answers.  My job is to help the client discover the answers and move into action to attain what the client really wants.  This could be goals, objectives and/or aspirations.

What are some of your coaching success stories (specific examples of individuals who have succeeded because of coaching)?

  • C-Level Executive who increased bottom line profits and reorganization with the help of coaching.
  • Financial advisor who started coaching with me as a Field Director and continued to succeed to Agency Managing Partner.
  • East Coast financial advisor who started with me as a Field Director and was promoted to a Managing Director a few years later.
  • Non-profit Executive Director who reorganized and turned the organization around – staff, operational and financial.
  • Individual who changed to a different more lucrative profession, to name a few specifics.
  • Additional stories available on request.

Are you a member of ICF? Do you hold an ICF Credential?

Yes, I am a member of the ICF and CTI, a Professional Certified Coach in the ICF (2017), Certified Professional Co-Active Coach in the CTI (2005), MBA (2008), and a CPA.
